Where a date field’s default lives
A date field is a little different from other fields. Its default doesn’t go in the usual Default value row — that row shows a note pointing you to the right place. Instead, look under Date options.
Date options (Pro)
On Pro, Date options lets you set:
- A default of Now, or a date relative to now.
- An earliest and latest date, so people can only choose within that range.
- Which weekdays are allowed.
The Now, relative, range, and weekday controls are a Pro feature.
On the free plan
A date field still gets a default on the free plan. You set a plain, static default in the Default value row.
