Point your iPhone at a barcode, a QR code, or a printed serial number, and the value lands in the field exactly as printed. It’s a feature we’re building now, so you can capture what’s in front of you instead of squinting at tiny digits and typing them by hand.

Picture logging warehouse stock: tap into a SKU field, hold your camera over the label, and the code is already there, ready to submit. On Airtable’s web forms that same value means reading it off and keying it in, one character at a time.

We’re bringing the scan straight into the form so the record fills itself, and you move on to the next item.

The Airtable pain this solves

You’re thumb-typing barcodes and serial numbers into Airtable by hand On a phone in a warehouse or at a check-in desk, Airtable’s browser form views can’t open the camera to read a barcode or QR code into a field.
